The Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI) is an innovative and highly respected non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and nurturing small business entrepreneurs. Learn how we got started

TFI plays an essential role in the growth and promotion of the Canadian fashion community by helping creative entrepreneurs to develop the business and professional skills they need to thrive and survive.

So how can the TFI help you and your emerging business? We start by providing a nurturing environment where creative entrepreneurs can learn about marketing, sales, business planning, exporting and cashflow through strategic programs, private consultations with experienced mentors and educational seminars. We also offer shared work space, in-house design studios, exclusive promotional and sales opportunities, valuable sales and marketing resources and leads, and volunteer/ internship programs. Because we recognize the different needs you'll have at different stages in your fashion business or career, we offer two ways of becoming a TFI member: Outreach and Resident.

OUTREACH: Want to start a fashion business, but not sure where to begin? Start with us! Anyone can join the TFI as an Outreach member. It's a great way for fashion designers, jewellery and accessories designers, small business owners and fashion students to network, make important contacts while developing business skills. As a TFI Outreach member, you'll also have access to our in-house resource centre, meeting room and expert mentors. Find out more about the benefits of becoming a TFI Outreach member today.

RESIDENT: Ready for the next step? Enjoy all the benefits of a TFI Outreach membership while working at TFI in a private or shared studio. Starting at just $275/month, TFI studios are available 24/7 or on a part-time basis, with or without professional sewing equipment. TFI's co-operative and cost-effective workspace located steps away from Liberty Village, is the perfect place for jewellery, accessory and apparel designers, stylists and other creative entrepreneurs. The TFI is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, advised by an Advisory Committee and staffed by the Executive Director and Office Assistants.
