On September 16, 2008, more than 100 media, retailers, celebrities and government officials gathered at the Toronto Fashion Incubator to preview the Spring 2009 collections of 19 accessory and apparel designers, all members of the Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI). Toronto Mayor David Miller, Ms. Helen Burstyn, Chair of the Ontario Trillium Foundation and Mr. Jeff Steiner, President of TEDCO, provided welcoming remarks.
This season’s roster included Ace Tennis Golf Lifestyle, AIME, Blindfive, Butikofer, Chip Chic Golf, Desperately Different, D'Mila, Elke Hechler, Eugenia Designs, Go Go Mama, Hortense Salvatore, Jenny Bird, Jessica Jensen, Jewellery By Karen, Lara Presber, Leah Bazian, Loko Sport, Pushan Designs and Snoflake.
The event was sponsored by City of Toronto Economic Development, Rowenta, Telio and TEDCO. Gift bags were sponsored by Cassels Brock Blackwell LLP, glaceau vitaminwater, Ontario Trillium Foundation and Wing Son Group of Companies.
