The Toronto Fashion Incubator hosted their glamorous VIP fund-raising dinner and fashion show, Ultimate Platinum TFIXX07, at The Carlu. Twenty of Canada’s top fashion designers, all TFI members or alumni, created one-of-a-kind “red carpet” creations especially for the event.

A highlight of the evening was the announcement that Sarah Nicol and Kelly Dowdall, their label “quelques filles” were the winners of the 2007 ELLE Canada’s New Labels Fashion Award that comes with a $25,000 prize. Congrats!

Since 1987, The Toronto Fashion Incubator, a non-profit centre, ahs helped nurture, support and promote new Canadian designers break into the competitive world of fashion. Some TFI members and alumni are: Brian Bailey, Comrags, Pina Ferlisi, Foxy Originals, Colette Harmon, Juma, Todd Lynn and Mercy, to name just a few successes. For more info: fashionincubator.com.
