Vin de Pays d’Oc, the next generation of French wines, celebrates Canadian fashion
Vin de Pays d’Oc, the wines of the South of France, was proud to partner once again with the toronto fashion incubator (tfi) to present Ultimate Platinum at The Carlu, on April 17th 2007.
For the intense New Labels competition, a jury comprised of industry professionals selected six young Canadian designers: Sarah Nicol and Kelly Dowdall of quelques filles, Engelbert Gayagoy of 1.618, Ozen duo Phoebe Gao and Enfys Zhuo and Kalam Lee of Malak by Kalam Lee. Much like Pays d’Oc wines, these designers proved creative and cutting-edge! The winner of New Labels, quelques filles, charmed the jury with “Mi Amor, A Victorian Love Tragedy”. Their collection captured the romance of a bygone era…
The evening also featured 20 of Canada’s top fashion designers who wowed the audience with one-of-a-kind red-carpet creations following a “Platinum” colour theme… Let’s raise our glass and thank all participating designers for this evening of fine wine and fashion!
Matching the mood that night with an exciting wine tasting were the wines of the South of France, Vin de Pays d’Oc. 1,000 guests sampled a diverse array of reds, whites and roses and enjoyed the delicious hors d’oeuvres inspired by the Mediterranean.
