It seems unavoidable these days to read the news without hearing about the latest social media revolution. Buzz words such as Facebook and Twitter — once deemed a language exclusive to the young techno-savvy crowd of early adopters who lived for the release of the latest computer gadgets — have become a part of our everyday discussions. In fact, the very way in which we read our news has changed. More often than not, we now learn about the latest world events on the Internet, either through our computers or via mobile devices that stream a constant flow of news to us. This shift is no longer something we can ignore. It is transforming life all around us — from how we socialize with people, to how we engage with companies and brands. Everyone seems to be participating in tweeting, blogging, and posting messages.
