OCTOBER 2007 – TORONTO - TFI has moved from its Queen West loft to THE MUSIC BUILDING, 285 Manitoba Drive, Exhibition Place. Boasting vaulted ceilings and stunning architectural details, the building once held music competitions making it a perfect fit for the creative minds that TFI incubates. Designed in 1907 by Toronto Architect George W. Gouinlock, the new home of TFI celebrates its centennial!

20 STAR-STUDDED YEARS
Officially known as the Toronto Centre for the Promotion of Fashion Design, the TFI is an exciting and innovative non-profit group dedicated to nurturing, supporting and promoting young and emerging fashion designers. Spanning 20 years, TFI has fostered many of Canada’s most celebrated talents including Brian Bailey, Joeffer Caoc, Farley Chatto, Comrags, David Dixon, Pina Ferlisi, Foxy Originals, Colette Harmon, Juma, Todd Lynn, Arthur Mendonça, Mercy and Siphay Southidara.
TFI provides a nurturing environment where fashion start-ups can learn the business of fashion through strategic programs and business consulting, mentoring, educational sector-specific seminars, export development webcasts, sales clinics, shared work space, in-house design studios, exclusive promotional and sales opportunities, volunteer programs and valuable sales & marketing resources including leads.

NEW LABELS 08: CALL FOR DESIGNERS
An important notice for your event calendars! TFI is now accepting applications for its Fall 2008 NEW LABELS Fashion Design Competition. The Winner of this prestigious contest will become one of Canada's NEXT TOP DESIGNERS with an extraordinary prize package from ELLE Canada valued at over $25,000!
