Past New Labels Finalist
Rosa Costanzo studied Fashion Design at Lasalle College, in the heart of Montreal, where she graduated in '97. While in her senior year at Lasalle, Rosa was a semi-finalist in the prestigious Smirnoff competition. After graduating, she accepted her first position with Canadian bridal designer Justina McCaffrey. With a desire to further explore and develop her creativity and natural talents, Rosa left Ottawa to work with some of Italy's most renowned designers.
Her work as an embroidery designer for high profile clients such as Fendi, Valentino and Etro has been featured in the pages of Vogue, Glamour and Harper's Bazaar. She's worked with such celebrated designers as Anna Molinari of Blumarine and Alessandro Dell 'Acqua.
Returning to Canada, Rosa immediately put her world-class experiences to work for her and launched her own ready-to-wear line -- Rosa Costanzo. Since she launched her first small Fall/Winter collection in 2000, there has been no stopping her. In March 2003, the Toronto Fashion Incubator chose Rosa to headline their prestigious New Labels Show for Fall. Shortly after, Ottawa City Women Magazine featured Rosa on the cover of their October issue and dedicated a five-page article to her Fall 2003 designs. Her Spring 2004 collection was met with much acclaim at Toronto Fashion Week.
Over the past few years, her stylish designs have graced the bodies of vibrant Canadian celebrities, such as Kim Stockwood, Damnhait Doyle, Josée Chouinard and Wendy Crewson.
