Nada Shepherd

TFI New Labels® finalist and Resident alumna Nada Shepherd created a fashion design house which included: an upper bridge label NADA, accessible diffusion jersey line nada nuff, signature fragrance and a retail location in a luxury shopping centre. Her determination, business savvy and innovative approach to marketing, led to the fast paced growth of the NADA brand, international media recognition and collaborations with some of the world’s largest brands like Audi and Virgin to name only two.

Nada directed and created all theme and colour story selections for every season, utilizing her own personal trend analysis re-enforced with trend forecasting materials: this included fabric and notion sourcing and vendor management locally as well as worldwide. Her hands-on approach to all areas of development, sampling and production of each collection resulted is custom designed fabrics in unique high quality goods that were unlike others in the market. This same business acumen governs Nada’s management skills, team leadership and mentorship of junior designers and staff. Nada worked hard alongside her brand team of hand-picked staff and third party agencies and vendors, and led these groups through successful creative campaigns each season. Campaigns included photo shoots, video and film production, runway shows, media presentations, charity events and street-level marketing which consistently garnered media and industry acclaim. Nada is currently consulting on the business side of the Fashion Industry.
