TFI SUCCESS STORIES
Be inspired by the success of TFI Resident alumni
Joeffer CaocJoeffer Caoc’s career within the fashion industry has been nothing short of remarkable. Joeffer successfully launched his label in 1995 at the Toronto Fashion Incubator and has received outstanding media recognition and support ever since.
David DixonI was tired of working for other designers and quite simply, was ready to get paid for my work and vision. I took the chance to start my business through the TFI, largely because it was a great resource and the New Labels show was enticing. It was really a matter of synergy and timing that I started at TFI.
House of SpyWendy Wong is the Toronto-based creator and founder of House of Spy, an urban collection for men and women that transgresses normative street wear. Driven by a passion to see the House of Spy label become a globally-recognized brand, Wong has participated in various trade shows in the U.S. including Magic and Pool.
JUMAJuma reflects sophistication and modernity. Brother and sister pair, Alia Juma and Jamil Juma founded fashion design house ‘Juma’ to create ready-to-wear collections for men and women with discerning tastes.
NadaNada creates head-turning women's apparel. Sensual fabrics and provocative silhouettes accentuate the female form and create chic style statements.
Arthur MendoncaAfter graduating from Ryerson University, Arthur launched his namesake business at the Toronto Fashion Incubator where he was a TFI Resident from 2002 to 2005. This award-winning, Toronto-based designer has garnered international attention from retailers, press and celebrities.
Ashley RoweInspired by England’s tradition of fine tailoring, Ashley Rowe’s eponymous label goes beyond referencing Saville Row. “The line interprets the historic English Dandy from a Rock and Roll point of view,” explains the Toronto-based designer.
