ABOUT CHRISTOPHER PAUNIL

Born Christopher Austin Paunil to Filipino parents, Christopher was raised in Toronto. As a child, Christopher was influenced by art and fashion and always knew that it would be in fashion that he would make his career. At the age of 13, he explored other art forms and attended Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts as a vocal major. When it came time to send out university and college applications, Christopher recalled his love for fashion and realized that was where he would feel most fulfilled, and decided to attend the Fashion Techniques and Design program at George Brown College (GBC). At GBC, Christopher excelled in his studies and was able to create and bring to life his designs. It was during his time at GBC that Christopher knew that he wanted to create beautiful things and make women feel special.

Upon graduating, Christopher entered Toronto’s fashion industry working jobs ranging from costume design to pattern making. It was during this time that he was able to hone in on his technical ability and really focus on the process of creating garments that not only looked beautiful, but fit beautifully too. With the creative and technical components of fashion design sharpened and focused, Christopher was ready to take a leap of faith. In 2009, Christopher launched his first bridal collection. It has been very well-received by Toronto brides and fashionistas alike, and shows promise for many beautiful collections to come.

Based in Toronto, Christopher Paunil Designs aims to make women look and feel their most beautiful on that special day, draped in delicate, well-crafted gowns. Cut from fine silks and molded into flowing silhouettes, fit and the highest level of workmanship help infuse a high sense of luxury and lavishness with every garment created. CPD’s sense of what the bride of today desires has fashioned a collection that is charming, sophisticated, and effortlessly luxurious. Christopher Paunil Designs also offers custom special occasion and evening wear.
