Did you go to college or university? If yes, which one and what did you study?
Jas attended the University of Waterloo and obtained her Bachelors in Science and Business (Biology) as well as her Master in Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology. Jessie attended York University and obtained a degree in Business/Economics.

Have you worked in the fashion industry before joining the Resident program? If yes, where? What did you do?
Brother & sister duo, Jessie and Jas started Savillian in March 2007 and have been working diligently at growing the company through researching, taking trips overseas, and attending tradeshows and networking events.

Who’s your favourite international designer and why?
Yves Saint Laurent because he was a true genius at fashion. Not only did he design haute couture, but he also created classic, foundation pieces. Both styles largely influence the industry and will continue to do so for years to come.

What do you never leave home without?
Blackberry

About Savillian
We offer custom tailored business suits and collared shirts for men and women. It is a by appointment only process where we take measurements and choose style and fabric options to create a specific garment for the individual.

Who is your target market?
Our focus over this past year (2009) has been on South Asian weddings (Grooms). Moving forward, we do want to branch out to business executives (men and women) in the downtown area. Our general price range is from $800 to $1200.

Why did you decide to locate your business at TFI? What do you hope to achieve?
It seems to be the perfect environment for us to take our company to the next level through fashion mentorship and being surrounded with other like-minded individuals. We hope to achieve greater brand recognition and build a company with long term sustainability.
